Why I love this BBQ Grilling Pan

In this post I’m telling you Why I love this BBQ Grilling Pan, and this rectangular grilling pan has been my favorite for years! And this post has links for the kinds of recipes I love to cook on this type of grill-top pan.

PIN the BBQ Grilling Pan to remember it later!

I’ve been happily cooking on the grill for many years now, and a grilling pan with holes to cook vegetables and small pieces of meat has been one of my favorite grilling accessories for a long time. But there are many variations of this type of grilling pan, and a few years ago I bought the BBQ Grilling Pan you see in the photos that comes in a set with two sizes, and I think they have the perfect design for a pan to cook on the grill!

This purchase was to replace a similar pan that was getting a little too well-used, and I liked the new ones even better. And after I realized how much I liked the new set of pans, I was glad I had snapped a few photos so I could share it as one of my Kalyn’s Kitchen Picks, where I talk about the food products that I buy myself and love!

What makes this BBQ Grilling Pan such a great design?

  • Years ago I had a grill pan with a long handle like a frying pan, and I thought I’d like that feature. But I soon realized that the long handle sticks out and makes it harder to close the lid on your grill. So I love that this pan is rectangular in shape and doesn’t have a long handle.
  • I’ve owned a few grilling pans that didn’t have enough holes, so the food didn’t get as browned as it might have. I love that this pan has lots of holes, spaced close together so there’s plenty of heat getting through.
  • Some grill pans have a surface that the food sometimes sticks to, but this pan is made of carbon steel and claims to have a non-stick surface. I’m not sure I’d call it non-stick in the same way I would a non-stick pan, but I haven’t had trouble with food sticking.
  • I bought a set of pans in two sizes, but the large pan you see below is quite large, and perfect if I’m having guests for dinner and want to make a big batch of grilled vegetables!

Where did I buy the BBQ Grilling Pan?

There are many places to get this type of pan, and you definitely don’t need the exact set of pans I have! But for those who are interested, I bought this set of two BBQ Grilling Pans (affiliate link) at Amazon for $39.99 for two pans. And don’t just take my word for how great these pans are; check all the good reviews on Amazon!

Grilling Recipes where I’d Use this type of Grill Pan:

This type of pan is perfect for cooking Grilled Mushrooms, Easy Grilled Vegetables, Grilled Asparagus with Parmesan, Grilled Zucchini, or Spicy Grilled Eggplant. You can use it to cook grilled chicken, fish, or meat as well, but when the food is big enough to sit directly on the grill I prefer cooking it that way to get diagonal grill marks. If you prefer not to cook in foil, this type of pan can cook the combination of ingredients I use to make Low-Carb Foil Packet Dinners. And it would be a great way to cook Grilled Bacon Cheeseburger Meatballs or Sriracha Turkey Meatballs although sometimes meatballs can be cooked right on the grill.
