❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

These potates are so easy to make and a wonderful addition to any holiday menu. These are perfect for a small gathering and everyone will get their own potato stuffed with delicious brown sugar, cinnamon and marshmallows. Much easier than making up a sweet potato casserole and you can make the sweet potato earlier in the morning, set aside in a warmer and then add the toppings right before you eat.

🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

  • Sweet potatoes
  • Butter
  • Brown Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Pecans (optional)

SWAPS

These potatoes are super versatile as you can add any topping you enjoy. You can add maple syrup, honey, extra butter and can leave out the marshmallows. We love these because they are so easy to make and really no clean up! Win win!

🍽️HOW TO MAKE

The hardest part of this easy recipe is getting out the ingredients!

COOKING STEPS

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix together brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans and set aside. Wash potatoes and prick skin with a fork. Cook for one hour or until done, depending on the size of your potatoes.

Step 2
Once done, remove and slice the center and open enough to get ingredients into the potato.

Step 3
Add a pat of butter and tablespoon of the mixture and then top with marshmallows.

Step 4
Turn on broiler and put back in oven. Broil until marshmallows have browned on top. Don’t walk away from oven. Serve immediately

⭐TIP

You can make the sweet potatoes in advance and then warm them up and add the toppings. This will save you time!

❓FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you poke holes in your potatoes before cooking?

I do, but I know some people don’t, but these potatoes will leak, so I put a pan under them in the oven.

I am not a fan of marshmallows, can I leave them out?

Of course, you can leave out whatever you don’t like. Very versatile recipe.

STORING AND REHEATING

I just store these in an airtight container and reheat in the microwave.
