Life just got better. My hubby and his friends love this dish so much that I always need to make extra

1. (Optional) Preheat your grill or a skillet to medium-high heat. Grill or sear the bratwurst sausages for a few minutes on each side until they have a nice char on the outside. This step is for added flavor and texture; you can skip it if you prefer.

2. Place the sliced onions in the bottom of your slow cooker and half of the brown sugar.

3. Arrange the grilled or seared bratwurst sausages on top.

4. Add the rest of brown sugar, and place slices of butter evenly over the sausages.

5. Pour the beer over everything in the slow cooker.

6. Cover and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours (high for 3-4 hrs) or until the brats are cooked through and tender.

Serve the beer brats in hot dog buns, using the caramelized onions from the slow cooker as a topping. Enjoy!

Enjoy the delightful combination of flavors and savor the succulent Slow Cooker Beer Brats, a classic dish that brings a taste of Germany to your table.
