Homemade garlic rolls

Ingredients:

For the rolls:

2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 cup warm milk

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

For the garlic butter topping:

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, salt, and granulated sugar.

In a separate bowl, combine the warm milk, melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley (if using).

Pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Transfer it back to the floured surface.

Divide the dough into 12 equal-sized portions. Shape each portion into a ball and place them on a greased baking dish or a lined baking sheet.

Cover the rolls with a kitchen towel and let them rise again for about 30 minutes until they become puffy.

Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley (if using), and salt to make the garlic butter topping.

Brush the garlic butter topping generously over the risen rolls.

Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until they turn golden brown.

Remove the rolls from the oven and brush them again with the remaining garlic butter topping.

Allow the Homemade Garlic Rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving.

These Homemade Garlic Rolls are perfect as a side dish or a tasty addition to your meal. The soft and flavorful rolls with a hint of garlic will surely be a hit with your family and friends. Enjoy!
