Creamy Jalapeno Dip

This recipe is for Creamy Jalapeno Dip, a flavorful and creamy appetizer. Here’s a detailed description of the recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup Mexican blend cheese, shredded (half Monterrey Jack or half Cheddar)
  • 1⁄2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, chopped
  • 1 (4 ounce) can jalapenos, diced
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1⁄2 cup Parmesan cheese (additional)
  • 1⁄4 cup butter, melted

Directions:

  • Start by preheating your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a mixer or food processor, combine the first six ingredients: the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, shredded Mexican blend cheese, 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, chopped green chilies, and diced jalapenos. Blend these ingredients together until you achieve a smooth and creamy mixture.
  • It’s worth noting that you have the option to include the liquid from the cans of green chilies and jalapenos if you prefer a spicier dip. This is a personal choice, so you can decide whether to drain the cans or not.
  • Grease a casserole dish to prepare it for baking.

  • Transfer the creamy mixture into the greased casserole dish, spreading it out evenly.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, the additional 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, and the melted butter. This will create a flavorful and crispy topping for your dip.
  • Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the creamy dip in the casserole dish.
  • Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes. Keep an eye on it and bake until the top is nicely browned, and you see the dip bubbling around the edges.
  • Once it’s done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

This Creamy Jalapeno Dip is a delicious combination of creamy and spicy flavors with a satisfying crunch from the breadcrumb topping. It’s perfect for parties, gatherings, or as a tasty snack. Enjoy!
